The AC wasn't working in the front of my truck but it worked fine in the rear. Did some troubleshooting under the dash to make sure it wasn't the switch door and thought it must have something to do with that valve. I'm a do-it-yourselfer so I evacuated the AC at a local oil change shop and then replaced the valve myself. I installed new gaskets and then filled the system with freon and added some lube just in case. It took several hours to fill the system, but once I got a good pressure, freezing cold air blew out of all my vents. It's been a few months and he's still going strong. The part matched the part I removed exactly so I had no problems installing it.
