To be honest I bought this because my roommate is a heavy smoker and the smell of his weed and cigarettes keeps coming into my apartment. I bought it and left it by the window. I don't smell the weed anymore, but it still smells faintly of cigarettes when he smokes one at a time in there. It definitely works! I've also noticed that I no longer wake up with a stuffy nose. I think it's because of this air purifier. I love that I can just set it to Auto during the day and it uses the best fan speed according to the built-in sensor. I'm also very sensitive to noise, so I turn on night mode every day before bed. I still haven't woken up in the middle of the night because of the air purifier.
