Light and easy to install. Attached to my 2007 Jamis Coda Sport in about 5 minutes. I had to bend and move the other attachment point at the top of the front fork to get it seated properly, but it was easy with pliers. I wanted a budget version of the Rivendell setup (Nitto stand with a Wald 137 basket), so I got this Wald 137 from Amazon for less than $30. It's great for that, although the mounting points on this rack and basket aren't as evenly aligned as they are on the Nitto rack. But it's $140 cheaper and works just as well. I attached it with thick zip ties (according to Rivendell) and it's very secure. It lists a 4.4lb limit, but I'm sure it can handle a lot easier. I also attached it to the handlebars with velcro but it doesn't really do anything, it just adds support.
