This is a 3 year old Maine Coon mix. I love the railing which some hammocks don't have! Most of my cats are older, so not used to a steep cat wall yet! After finding two ways to climb into the hammock, my Maine Coon was hooked. 1 star from the bc mounting holes must be centered 16" for US customers. I marked both sides well. This is in drywall on one side and studs on the right side. 75lb white drywall anchors were used on the left side. Screwed into the pin on the right. But when I tried to screw it in, I naturally bumped into the drywall. So it tilted down to hit the hairpin. :/ I was thinking of screwing it to a longer board and fixing the board to the wall so I can hit 2 studs. The problem is that with little experience and no help I wasn't sure what kind of screws I would need and if I would need to center the drywall screws behind the holes (whereas the board screws would be on studs) that seemed just as much, if not to be more work in case he breaks out. The way I made it is incredibly durable. I can use more 75lb anchors and try to just drill more holes in the drywall to even it out. I have one more to put, will try to update. This would be much easier for many US customers if there was a model with 16" center holes. Or an explanation of how to safely mount it on a longer board with equipment types and sizes. Thanks very much! Update: 2nd went in easier! The trick is to mark the corners once it's level and then use a long screw through the holes to make marks for each anchor. 2 screws through the studs and 2 screws plus 75 pound anchors through the drywall. so let it be for now.
