I am not a technical person and cannot verify that these cables meet Cat 6 standards. By the way, I have no idea if these cables conform to any standard. I can only tell you that they work great for us. So far we have bought a dozen of these cables. Each comes in a great heavy duty resealable pouch with a pull tab over a zip. Like reusable plastic bags. They also include 1 reusable Velcro to secure your cables. I've found that Wi-Fi just doesn't meet the needs of different devices for downloads and updates. Ethernet is much faster when uploading and downloading to wired devices. We live in Columbus, Ohio and our cable provider is working quickly to upgrade our service for 1 gig and up. Where we live speeds go up to 400Mbps if we pay extra for it. We currently have 200+ Mbit/s download and 24+ Mbit/s upload. I used to have Cat 5 cables and our speeds were around 100Mbps. (constantly checked by Speedtest.net). It used to take us hours (yes, literally) to update our gaming systems and games over Wi-Fi. But when I switched everything I could to Ethernet, oh my god, what a difference! I did an online update for Star Trek that cost almost 5 gigabytes in just a few minutes. Sorry I didn't take the time but I'm so used to skipping updates that when I came back with my cup of coffee everything was ready! Waiting for the update to run and install took longer than the download! We really like these cables and have not had any problems with any of the cables so far. I had to order more to replace the cables Spectrum provided. We have 1 Playstation 2, 3 and two PS4s. 1 Roku, 2 4k Sony Bravia, 1 Personal Computer, and now they all work much faster. Games are faster with less lag (almost none) and rubber bands than before, with the exception of this Star Trek game. Oh what a pain, there is so much lag time in this game! I have the 7ft model cords and so far so good. Image quality is much better than before, and it's not just about gaming. We use Revain Video, Britbox, Netflix, Viki and a number of free video streaming services and the picture and sound quality is very clear, clean and without the pixelation of the past. Hope that helps.
