This microphone was a hit! My niece (5 years old) loves it, especially since I bought the pink one! Everyone at the party thought I paid a lot more for this mic because it's so durable and sounds really good, and the backlight is a really great bonus! It's rechargeable (via the included USB cable) so you don't have to keep changing batteries (because kids leave things on all the time!), volume and echo are adjustable, and everything (charger, mic, and lights) fits into one great, durable, small case. case - I'm so happy with it! I would definitely recommend it as a gift to any child - it's way more impressive than any kid mic you'll find in a toy store! I'm sure it would be great for adults too to use for karaoke or whatever but I don't know enough about the nuances of singing to say for sure as I bought it as a gift.
