I know it doesn't remove calcium but the water actually tastes better, uh, doesn't look any different, just like good water should; great for coffee. I've always had a very spiky beard, even after shaving; Blades would only last for 1 time. Not only is it smoother now, but the blades last 3 shaves (safety razor with Viking blades). The kids, of course, don't care, but I'm not going to crawl under the sink every month to blow chunks of lime out of appliances and gadgets. There were literally gum sized lumps of red/white deposits of iron and calcium. Some lights even start to speed up, which has never happened with an active faucet.
