Doesn't block UV rays!: Window Film

I have transitional contact lenses (great btw, they don't even correct vision so anyone can wear them!). They basically turn your eyes into automatic sunglasses whenever UV light is present, e.g. B. if you are outside during the day or on the other side of this "UV blocking" film which obviously does not block UV light. Here is my simple test: 1. Install the film on half of the window2. Glue two transition contact lenses on the window, one on the foil and one outside the foil3. Insert the third contact in front of the exposed part of the window on the other side of my crystal clear Zero Tint glasses with true UV blocking lenses. The lens on the film got as dark as the lens that wasn't on the film, and the lens behind my UV-blocking glasses didn't get darker at all. What a disappointment! Now there might be a problem with my test so today I'm going to buy a $400 UV meter to get the right readings and I'll update that. report back as soon as I know more. But look at the pictures!

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: This window film is only 2 mils thick, making it relatively easy to install. You can easily apply ceramic tint to the windows of your home with a heat gun. Self-adhesive window films can also be installed by a professional.
Cons
  • Damaged
