This handmade natural sandalwood comb is amazing! I've never dreamed of a hairbrush in my wildest dreams, but this one is truly a work of art. The first thing that struck me was the beautiful packaging it came in. It's the perfect size so the comb is a bit too big, and that little extra length keeps the comb from sliding around AND keeps the lid of the box securely in place; GENIAL Sandalwood is a beautiful, delicately scented hardwood that requires special care to last a lifetime. The two most important jobs are to dry the comb when it gets very wet and rub it several times a year with a light olive oil or other suitable light oil to moisturize and preserve the wood like any other finely worked piece of wood . .There are two versions of this comb - with a handle and without; it has no handle. It takes a few uses to get used to holding it, but because it's large it's comfortable even for arthritic hands like mine. The comb's teeth are all equally spaced (1/16 inch), but their length varies from 1 1/8 inches to 1 3/8 inches - perhaps this helps with both the detangling function and the pattern it creates. In any case, the depth is not very deep and can make a difference with very long and thick hair. My beautiful, rare hat had no problems at all. All in all beautiful, very giftable and highly recommended ✨
