I had the same model that I bought YEARS ago. and one day it literally burned down! However, this did not bother me, because he was my faithful companion FOR MANY YEARS! So I bought the same model again, but as they say, you can't turn back time. this one was stubbornly grumpy! The brush shaft does not remain attached to the base. This morning (and I've had it for over a year) I finally cried uncle and bought a replacement again. The brush fell off six times! I gave up, tied my hair in a bun and got to work. Overall, I like the design, performance, etc., and after reading the reviews I'm rather reluctant to buy another one.
