The thing is, all the TV commercials I've seen, especially in the 1970's, might as well be from McMan and Tate's Bewitched agency! It's like every guy is more or less programmed to get those blades, even if it's fifty years later! It's not just advertising jargon. Obviously, there's a clear quality basis for advertising that makes it the benchmark by which you measure other razor blades. I've also used Merker and VD Hagen blades for the past few months, all of which have comparable durability and quality of use. I expect eight good shaves from the blade in one full pass, plus a few more shaves in my specific areas, and it does what you would expect. You should find that this is an excellent razor blade brand that also gives you the standard.
