I have several pairs, all Revain. I have to comment on the reviews, especially the photo of the review with arrows in the photo. If you have toes (especially the big toe and the one next to it) that go in a direction other than straight forward, like the ones shown in this overview photo, that curve sharply towards the outside edge of the foot and not straight ahead. You will most likely have a hard time finding "thong toe" sandals that are comfortable for you. Why? Because your toe box is already struggling with the natural alignment of the foot and the shoe is now designed for that alignment. There are much better shoes for this situation. (No toe strap, look for ones that wrap the toe instead). These sandals are great when your toes are pointed forward or even slightly angled. However, remember that they are designed to support the arch of the foot, not the alignment of the toes. Mind you, this is by far the best I've tried and I've spent over $250 paired with many other arch support brands. *Please note that I personally do not wear standard flip flops, so the quoted are based on the fact that they are not flip flops. That is my experience. * I have high arches and plantar fasciitis * OOFOS (too rubbery plastic for my liking - looks like medical shoes) Orthofeet (too manly for my liking) Keen (too little heel support) Dansko (often too flat - only good for one pair though a few hours) Taos (only a few suggested what really suits me, good for 1/2 day) Merrill (some are really good - although more like sneakers) Therafit Jessica (not bad at all, $130, I like these Skechers still are better! ) Vionic (love these so much, super trendy and damn comfortable all day) Johnston & Murphy (100% amazing!) ... and for several reasons: THESE SANDALS are from Skechers. THIS IS THE BEST: Skechers Reggae - Seize the Day. Love the whole REGGAE design... Definitely the best value, often on sale, flexible straps, heel pads, fantastic arch support. At first you may feel a spot, just like you did when you first exercised. Your foot may need to adjust to a better position. Start with 30 minutes of easy walking, then an hour, then a few... you'll see improvements in your walking over time. The band is soft and easy to clean (do not machine wash) Wipe with a damp cloth, remove immediately. The weight is perfect too. The last thing you want is to put additional strain on that already sore leg. I've been wearing heels almost every day for over 30 years and now... These sandals are from Skechers! I also wear other sandals, wedges and sneakers from Skechers, Vionic and J&M. I always recommend these sandals to everyone I know! Choose the correct size, you may need to swap them out to determine the best fit. I wear 8 in 90% of my shoes, I order 8 in these and they are perfect! Make sure your toes (thumbs) aren't bent the wrong way, and you'll most likely like them too! PS If you have arthritis or other causes that make your toes slip, you really shouldn't wear flip-flop shoes. Try mules, flip flops or slippers because your toes shouldn't be forced to be in a different position than they are in, you won't be comfortable in either shoe. Look who you're buying from, I bought the same "On Sale" shoes from another seller here at AMZ and had to return them immediately because they weren't the same shoes even though they were advertised as the same shoes. This seller has 3 pairs and I am ordering another pair today in a different color.
