I have had the squid for over 5 years and it still works like the first day I bought it. My only dilemma was that the beautiful spellbinder cubes were very time consuming because although I use paper spacers I had to go through them multiple times to get the wishing effect. When I received this shim I was optimistic and right; This adjustment plate works great with my squid. However, the more complex the design, the more it just takes one extra pass through the machine with no spacers, and when you've done the embossing, voila! Also, don't worry if this spacer plate bends because all you have to do is flip it over after each use and line it up with your sandwich. I am very happy with this product, it will save so much time!
