Review on Giro Scamp Youth Bike Helmet for Recreational Cycling by Dhoal Shankar

Great lightweight helmet for my 11 month old son! I originally bought a Bell bike helmet that was too big and didn't fit, so I read about a few adjustable bike helmets and finally settled on this one. So far I am very happy with the helmet. My son's head size is in the 40th to 50th percentile range (18 inches) and the XS still has room to grow. The dial on the back is very easy to adjust even with my son wearing it. The helmet is also very light and doesn't bother him at all. The only problem I had was that the chin straps are very long and it was very annoying. Based on another reviewer's suggestion, I popped the black connector out of the back with a flathead screwdriver and was able to adjust the straps so they didn't interfere with it as much. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would only downgrade my rating to 4.5 stars due to the straps, but having learned that they can be adjusted a bit I'm giving it 5 stars.
