I broke my digitizer removing it from my Surface tablet. The last thing I had to do to remove it was put too much effort bending it outwards, not realizing that these panels are actually quite fragile. You just can't flex these panels with every push or you will damage them. I needed something fast to fix my broken screen so I had to look up the correct part number. Be careful as not all Surface Pro 4s are created equal. You must check the model number on the back of the digitizer or you will end up ordering the wrong part. I am very happy that I ordered the right part. They had a photo on their product where I could select a part number and get the correct part for my Surface Pro 4. The part number I received was LTL123YL01-007. My defective part was listed as LTL123YL01-006. So I think I may have gotten an updated part of revision 007 that works great. I wouldn't call this a full build as I had to remove the touch panel and surface connectors from the old panel in order to transfer them to the new one. After everything was connected, I went into the BIOS to test the touch controls and found that it worked fine. After installing windows and touchscreen drivers everything worked like new. Make sure you check the part number on your old panel or you may not have the correct part for your Surface Pro 4. I believe Microsoft used Samsung and LG to make their LCDs. There's no way to tell which panel you have unless you remove the old panel and inspect the back. This will save you returns and hassle if you know the part number you need. I'm glad they had a photo of the panel they sold so I could find out the part number and order the correct part for my Surface Pro 4. Otherwise, I'm very happy that my Surface is working again.
