The GoPro Media Mod is so poorly constructed that the GoPro proprietary thumbscrews do not fit properly. Yes, it fits both the GoPro Hero8 and its accompanying "Media Mod" with free space so you can actually tighten it as well as align and position it in the right position. I finally found a solution!
