They come individually wrapped but the first one I opened was covered in blue ink stains. the rest is fine but they are all quite flimsy and I find they curl up easily and should definitely be hand washed and air dried. I have curls on my tailbone, they fit well and are very comfortable. seems very soft! They can definitely be longer for more versatility, but I usually only wrap two different ways.
