I wanted to spend $25 for the Suunto version but read some bad reviews and started looking for other options. I see one with decent reviews and it's a veteran owned business so I decided to buy it. I get 4 instead of 1 for about a quarter of the price. Shipping was pretty quick and I wear it on my G-Shock strap. I work in construction (repeat all trades) and when I paint or do drywall I place a cut piece of the top of the sock over the clock to keep it clean otherwise this thing (along with my G-Shock) takes a beating beat and works fine. I will not travel the world with him or travel from Alaska to Kilamanjaro without a moon and without a map. Sometimes I need a quick compass reference when checking where the western sun will be or where a storm is coming from. I'm a survivor and this purchase should be part of my EDC; I take preparation seriously and I understand the difference between cheap and high quality when it comes to things you can bet your life against. Of course, I also recognize that expensive doesn't mean quality, and a trusted name isn't always the best purveyor of the less-demanded goods it makes (take the BMW X-5, for example: a stylish SUV that tends to have a fixed be lemon). This little compass points north as long as it's held horizontally, and when it's stuck, tap it once or twice and you're done. The watch strap fits my band perfectly, in fact I had to smear this little gem with soap to put it on the band. Then I washed off the soap.
