I bought these mirrors for my 2007 Honda Recon ATV. The reason is that some of the roads I drive are shared with road vehicles and I need to see what's coming. The mirrors have arrived and I was surprised as they are better than expected. For my setup, I first had to remove the factory installed threaded insert, which was placed about 3/4" inside the ends of the handlebars (has nothing to do with the pros or cons of the mirror itself). Removing the insert was a chore .But once that was done I proceeded to install the new product. My handlebar diameter is closer to the upper limit of the listed size so the fit was a little loose. To fix this I used a 1/2" strip from it Aluminum pop can used. Material wrapped around the end of an insert without slits. The fit was then tight and after tightening the set screw (which widens the slotted end of the insert) the fit was tight and vibration free. I am very satisfied with the product for my application. I can't imagine why anyone would find these mirrors cheap in terms of looks or build quality. Nowadays it is extremely difficult to find a product that is advertised as universal and perfect for all uses. The pad I made for my application worked great, was easy to make, and was made from a material that is a common household item. Sometimes a person needs to be low on mechanical skills or plan a trip to the dealer. The way it works If you buy a set of these mirrors I don't think you will be disappointed.
