My last surge protector filled with water and exploded. I've read reviews from several surge protectors, Blue Tooth, and EPO highlighting this device. The big red face makes it easy to spot the problem, but if there's an error code, you should have a user guide or application to decipher the code. I gave them an asterisk because it would be nice if they added error codes to the case; Almost all other surge protectors do this! In the app, you can find error codes in the Help and Initial Settings section. Personally, I think they should title the section "User's Guide vs. Initial Setup" because this section has more information than just initial setup procedures! If a surge protection filter protects your installation from severe surges, it will usually become damaged in the process and will usually need to be replaced. However, the Hughes Autoformers PWD50-EPO has a great feature that you can fix the surge protector with a $33 board replacement instead of buying a brand new surge protector. I also like that they have included a locking ring on the cable. The surge protector is an expensive item that shouldn't be left loose when you leave your rig, so it's nice to be able to secure it. I would recommend it to everyone and buy it again.
