This small indicator is slightly larger than the product image and is very bright. Actually too bright for the license plate light. I used it to light up my jeep's rear license plate after moving the license plate to the rear swivel tire mount and having to half mask the clear lens because the light was throwing too much bright white light behind me, especially when I installed it is higher than normal license plate height, there is too much bright white light shining behind me and it is dangerously distracting to other drivers. Another problem is that it's so big it obscures the entire state name at the top of my license plate. I'm not sure if this will create a problem and law enforcement will have to stop me or not, but I don't want to risk it. I'm going to replace this light with a smaller, thinner license plate light and move this light to use as a rear cargo light since it's so bright.
