Plant parts are pretty good; true, at least in the pictures, so you won't be surprised. The bases appear to be made of clay, which is a welcome departure from expectation of plastic. However, they are not fully fired. As long as they are dry enough out of the box, ambient moisture and splashes will seep into the clay and: 1) start texturing the gray (and smudge if pressure is applied) 2) continue softening the clay, to make dents (e.g. with fingernails) surprisingly easy, probably to save a few bucks in production. I would like to (or could buy?) buy "plants" without pots just to avoid the hassle. Maybe you don't mind the concerns I've listed. For me, it made a difference where I had the plants (the kitchen next to the spray area). It was easy enough to pry the plastic plants out of the styrofoam internal fixture and just toss them into an actual clay pot (I had a 3.5β³). or 8.89 cm, and the plants are great) that you can easily pick up at the garden center. I would give plants 5 stars, -2 for problematic (but visually appealing) pots.
