Sometimes it can be difficult to find replacement batteries when the device you need them for has been out of production for at least 12 years. Luckily I was able to find them in a pack of two, just what I needed. As I said in my review of the GLESOURCE 9.6V battery pack, I am impressed that these batteries are not just a direct replacement. but offer additional capacity in addition to the original batteries. Using genuine Thomas & Betts 1.2V 1.2Ah batteries, the Emergi-Lite Preceptor signs shown will operate for two hours in flashing emergency mode. These 1.5Ah GLESOURCE batteries should theoretically provide 30 to 45 minutes of additional run time, well over the 90 minutes required. After I plugged these signs in and tested them, they worked perfectly. While GLESOURCE batteries appear to be reasonably charged out of the box, I still recommend a 72 hour charge before performing any discharge testing, as required by the NFPA. My experiences with GLESOURCE so far have been positive. Given the experience I've had with two of their products, I would not hesitate to buy from them again. As always I will update the reviews if there are any issues. So far, so good.
