Review on Renewed Apple iPhone XS US Version in Gold, 64GB with AT&T by Agata yziska ᠌

Average purchase, there are some things to complain about.

The XS fits very well in the hand, most of all I like its compact size for today and the feeling of a premium thing. But the main drawback was completely unexpected - it is on the XS model that there is no "Enlarge display" mode in the settings! Although it is on my old 7+ and even on the iPad Pro 12.9". Because of this, XS is extremely uncomfortable to use, with a screen size comparable to 7+, the text in the application interfaces looks too small, it is very uncomfortable to read, you have to strain your eyes. You can set a large "Text Size" in the settings and Apple's native applications look good, but apart from them I have not come across a single program that supports dynamic font. The display magnification mode is apparently more universal and increases any program. For me, this is a fundamental problem. I will sell XS if It won't be fixed in the next iOS ate. I usually use two devices on iOS and Android in parallel. For a long time there was a pair of 7+ and Samsung S7 Edge and 7+ I liked more. Switched to the XS as the main phone and Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro as the cheaper secondary and expected the superiority of the XS in everything. But besides the lack of a key image size setting for me, with which everything is in order on Android, many programs on the XS run noticeably slower. In general, the XS makes a good impression, the smoothness of the iOS interface is really beyond praise, it is important that the camera starts very quickly. But with frequent switching from device to device, the XS seems to be somewhat slow. For example, Finance Yahoo! or Raiffeisen on Android manage to start up and show data while the XS is still in the process of loading, which, given the difference in price, is completely inadequate. Bottom line, I wouldn't buy it a second time. iOS is still aesthetically and ergonomically ahead, but the gap is already small, the experience of using it on different platforms has become very similar. A significant price difference with competitors on Android is unjustified, I can’t recommend XS for purchase.

Pros
  • - compact dimensions - ergonomics - workmanship - screen - cameras
Cons
  • - too small image on a large enough screen - not fast work compared to competitors - Poor value for money - no fast charger included
