I have tried at least 5 Dell branded USB-C docks including TH15, TB16, TB19, even the new WD19TB and they are all unreliable. The video or network connection is lost, starts to clap, or is simply not visible. Finding the right combination of video ports to use with two external monitors for my laptop is almost impossible. And they cost hundreds of dollars. I have tried 3 versions of Dell XPS 15 laptops and these Dell docking stations, none of them have worked consistently for long. I don't know why Dell can't make their own docking stations with their laptops! This docking station worked right out of the box with two monitors attached, an ethernet port and multiple USB ports used like once. It has never let me down in a few weeks of use. I will never buy a Dell USB-C dock again. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this USB-C dock connected to my Dell XPS 7590 laptop.
