I was a bit confused about the whole environmental aspects of this bed as my dog is likely to release a lot of methane into the environment while sleeping on the bed. However, I look forward to washing the cover when it does get dirty and I found the fleece to vacuum fairly easily, allowing me to remove clumps of grass and dirt with ease. Oh yes: the dog still sleeps on it all day - I think he would give 5 stars himself! Update 8/20/18: My terrier girl got a new version of this blanket. After three years of heavy use, my recently deceased dog had to replace the original. So does she like the bed? Pictures don't lie.
