I am a 65 year old female and bought this bag for a trip to Canada and then to Scotland. It was perfect! Plenty of zipped compartments for my phone, iPad, wallet, passport and magazine, plenty of room in the main compartment for everything else including noise canceling headphones for flying! It can be held by the handles or by the shoulder strap. This is not a structured bag and I prefer a structured bottom so I cut a piece of styrofoam to fit the bottom, wrapped it with animal print tape and it worked perfectly! It's a large bag, but it was my "personal item" and easily fit under the seat in front of me on the plane. Other bags I've seen and even bought at Revain couldn't compete, even though they were more expensive. They were returned but I kept these for myself. So glad I did! I highly recommend this bag!
