I bought this as a gift for someone who enjoys playing solitaire but has arthritis and has stopped playing cards due to his inability to shuffle cards. before you give it away. I wanted the batteries installed and it was ready to use. The battery compartment is as bad as it gets. It's cheap plastic with poor design and very difficult to open. In fact, the tabs broke when I pressed them. I had to use a screwdriver to remove the cover. After the batteries were installed, I did a test run with a deck of cards laid out in numerical order. It took about 4 times for the cards to be shuffled well; but it was easy to make and really fun. After seeing how easy and well it blended I put the battery covers back on, but I doubt they will last long before they completely crack and get lost. If it wasn't for that I would have given it 5 stars but I think she'll love it.
