Review on Yogalicious Lightweight Full-Zip Hooded Workout Jacket With Thumbholes by Amanda Perkins

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I like it, but over-priced for the poor finish.

I got two of these in medium, one in 'stonewash' and the other in black.Stonewash hoodie review - 1 star: I do NOT recommendThe Stonewash one seems very slightly larger and longer than the black one - it's not as snug in the bust and arm area. I'm returning the stonewash one because the outward-facing seam at the neck is unfinished and there are threads unraveling and hanging out in other places. I looked at the black one again and you can see the undone seams in the neck area, but they are not as bad nor as prominent because it's black. There were no threads hanging out or undone in the black one. The fit of the stonewash one is more comfortable for my body-type than the black one. For reference I'm 5'5" and 140lbs, on the athletic and busty side. I always have problems finding tops that fit my arms and bust area comfortably, they tend to be too tight but perfect everywhere else -or- perfect for my arms and bust, but too large everywhere else. I do NOT recommend getting any color other than back because of the visible hanging threads which are VERY noticeable in the neck area. If it does not bother you, then I would recommend it for the fit and comfort. Just inspect it as soon as you get it because it may be undone and near falling apart in some areas like the one I received. For the price, I'd expect a better finish and more attention to detail.Black hoodie review - 3.5 stars: I would recommend.I have larger arms for a woman, mainly because my job is physical so most tops are snug in the arms and chest area. For me, it's perfect at the waist and for others with less muscle mass on the arms, I think it will fit perfectly. I like the silhouette cut of it, but lengthwise, it's a little short for my preference. It stops right before the hips and when I raise my arms, it pulls up to just right above my belly button. I tend to wear longer T-shirts so I can deal with it. Overall, it's soft, comfortable and very flattering. My own personal preference is for it to be longer and have a little more room in the bust and arm area, but that is just based on how I'm physically built and I rarely find tops that fit perfectly. I'm in between a medium and a large and ordered the medium. I'm keeping it, but if I order it again, I'll try for a large in hopes it's a less tight fit on the bust and arms (the medium is a perfect fit everywhere else though except a tad too short for my preference).I recommend the black one as a daily go-to and generally, the fit is accurate. Order your normal size if you want snug, order a size up if you want a little room or on the bustier side to avoid the chest area 'squish'.I do not recommend this in any other color other than black if having visible hanging threads or an unfinished outward-facing neckline will bother you.I wish there was a way to leave separate reviews for separate items that you order more than one of, I would have given the black one 4 stars and the stonewash hoodie 1 star.

Pros
  • Great jacket, very comfy! Though, it had a few loose threads on the seams, hence the 4 star review
Cons
  • The hood is too large and constantly falls over your face
