Review on 🔴 Enhanced Prusament Carmine Red Filament with Improved Tolerance: A Superior 3D Printing Choice by Brett Jarvis

I like this filament. I've had a lot of trouble getting PETG to print in the past. I saw this thread became available and decided to give it a try as Prusa is a well known company and I didn't think they would name it if it was useless. It's a little pricey as filament is usually under $30. I received this thread in a nicely packaged resealable vacuum bag. I actually said "good hiss" out loud when I opened this. I downloaded the default profile from the Prusa website in Cura, sliced the model and surprisingly printed it with minor imperfections the first time. My first layer didn't stick properly to my second layer. I increased the bed temperature on the next print and the problem was solved. Overall I'm very happy with the ease of use, the color and the packaging (and the coil has honeycomb hexagonal holes and we all know a hexagon is the best shape). Pros:* Color: Very nice translucent red with a sparkling sheen.* Prints and guides better than any other PETG filament I've used* Good vacuum packaging with resealable bag* Good spool with handy filament slot that doesn't waste filament like standard holes do do (it fits into a guide on the inside of the spool rather than bending around the holes - the act of bending around the holes always damages a few inches of filament on me.) Cons: * Almost twice the price of entry-level PETG * Some may want a more even red color, it has sequins and translucent instead of solid solid color. * Not always in stock. * As with most PETG, a higher temperature is required. Rex and fossil fish at 75% scale. First layer without fan, then 50% Bed: 92°C Hot end: 250°C Print speed: 55 mm/s
