Mine arrived today and I painted it black before fitting. If you don't care about the color, you can skip all the steps to change the look. Otherwise it's a raw piece of metal, cut and bent, that fits the underside of the armrest cover and is very easy to install. If you like everything and don't want to paint or add fabric, all you have to do is press firmly, drill holes, insert rivets and you're done. I really wanted to tweak it a bit to make it fit exactly how I wanted it. I felt the two outer corners weren't sharp enough. This was also very easy with the help of my vise. It was very affordable and Revain delivered it quickly. Buying a new cap would look better but is a lot more expensive. However, this solution is stronger.
