To be honest I bought this camera so I wouldn't use my phone to record a vlog as I started a YouTube channel for fun. Picture quality is decent, it's not the best, but I mean what really counts is how you edit the footage in relation to the main movie. Anyway, I've been using this camera for a few weeks now and all I can say is that I hope you have a portable charger handy if you plan on using it for an hour or more as the battery runs out quickly . Camera. I always carry 3 portable chargers with me in case I want to shoot for a very long time or in case I forgot to charge the camera overnight and this only solves the dead battery problem. The camera will continue to work while charging. The video is recorded continuously, but the camera itself will eventually stop recording and then start a new clip. I think I've had it for a month now, maybe more than a month, and just recently I've had to see if it's recording while I'm filming and then I hit the record button again and it just starts before I do Push the button. Usually video recording starts automatically when you press M, and it always does. Just make sure you keep an eye on it to keep recording because sometimes it can't record continuously. And it's a pain in the butt sometimes. But overall it works great! Honestly, I wish I had known beforehand that this only requires a microUSB, but luckily I already had one for my recording device. But hey, what can you do? In any case, I recommend you buy this if you don't mind bad luck. Worth the money and happy editing. Gives you an old-school video feel when watching videos on your computer. it's so cool
