I fired another reviewer who said he had the same issue. I should have listened. Maybe other riders don't sweat so they don't need to rinse/remove/wash their helmet pads. To date I have only rinsed the sweat from my pads. Today I'm tired of carefully removing the Velcro straps because I'm thinking of washing them off with soap. Although I was careful, most of the backing detached from the rest of the pad. I have a Giro helmet with production date August 2015. Yes, it is 6 years old. The pads are in perfect condition. And I've worn and washed this helmet hundreds of times and of course removed the pads whenever they needed a better wash. Why did I give Kask 3 stars and not 1 star? Aside from the overlays, the Kask looks well made and constructed. BUT now I need a solution. Serious. What am I supposed to do with this helmet now? Buying a new last from Kask makes no sense.
