We moved to Orlando from Raleigh and wanted our princess to be as comfortable as possible. We had previously moved to Raleigh from New York and this trip with her was terrific. She was in a lattice box, but she wasn't happy about it at all. Cried and cried, cried. The trip was unsuccessful. This time we took them with us in this bag. And it wasn't a problem at all. I could pet her all the time. she could see. Basically, she just lay down for the ride. She sat down once to warm up while the car was in motion, and again at stops. She meowed exactly twice and only once each time. Total travel time was only 10 hours. We stopped twice (the first time there was a flying insect in the car and she wanted to catch it, which didn't work in the bag, which was good - no hanging around in the car!) and someone stayed with her in the car both times. She enjoyed driving across the parking lot so people could pee a lot more! We offered her food (which she ate) and water (which she ignored) and put her on a tray before we left (and she left). We practiced putting it in a bag before walking with it. With one person it is possible, but with two it is easier. We also drove twice 2 hours before going on a long journey. She is sitting in the picture. I wouldn't want to ride her for 10 hours every day but she really was a lot better for this ride than any we've ever done. Definitely, now we will transport it like this. Let's see how the vet is doing as she likes to go back to her cage when we go there. Maybe a bag will help here too!
