This hair dryer's controls are similar to most other modern hair dryers. There is a button to expel cold air. There are two toggle switches on the side of the handle. A rocker has two positions for two speeds and a power-off position. The second toggle switch allows you to select one of three heating modes. The hair dryer heats up quickly, which is great. I don't know if this is related to their "upgraded" U-shaped heating element. ACLI compliant power plug with built in circuit breaker. This is a great security feature. There is a screen filter on the back of the dryer. . The back is removable to allow this filter to be cleaned. Accessories included: 2-row prong detangler, concentrator, diffuser and large comb. The product description mentions that it produces 50% more ions for improved effect and control. I don't know how to check and whether the amount of "ions" really affects drying or improves the condition of the hair. But this device has proven to be a very effective hair dryer. Based on these observations and first impressions, this product is rated 4.5-4.75 stars with a high recommendation.
