Hard to find good quality small basic wallets these days, everyone seems to make your bulky wallets as big as a diaper bag! I like this one, it's small but fits enough that I won't be looking elsewhere for another (well maybe I'm also looking for this one in brown as I can see from the listing photos) it's just the perfect size for us who are not into wallets but are into quality and the need for a wallet for essentials when going to a party etc. They are handmade so like most handmade things they may have some minor imperfections. mine looks perfect everywhere, great soft leather (smells nice too) but the front flap closes slightly at an angle and isn't as across as it should be. but it's not that bad, and if someone isn't staring into my purse, it shouldn't be noticed by others. I really like the smell of this handbag, you can tell immediately that it is real soft leather! Oh the strap is tied which I personally like because I hate long straps like that and now I can untie them and cut the strap to length. I like it and my husband's ends are tightly closed for me. The tassels look cute, reminds me of my favorite black leather jacket I had in the mid 80's but I'll probably take it off the brown version if I buy it because the tassels are good for one night but too many for that Everyday trip to store/etc. wallet. between the seams they should lie in such a way that they can be neatly cut off. Also based in India, Leather Centric describes in a letter attached to the wallet that it is a company made up of a small group of artisans and relies on purchasing. for their livelihood and that they donate part of their profits from our purchases to the poor. Well, assuming that's true, it's worth spending a little more for a small handmade leather wallet that may or may not have a small defect that I should buy.
