At the moment, Intel is in front, miles ahead of its rivals. Multi-threaded desktop processors in the $100-$150 price range offer more than enough performance for multimedia, games, and everyday chores for several more years.

Costlier processors often have a multiplicative rise in price for a similar decrease in performance.
In my opinion, there is no need for a home to have a more powerful processor.

Pros

The results of the test in Windows 7 x64 are 7.2. Cost-effectiveness is low. In Silent mode, the big case can get down to about 38 degrees. Good quality cooler within the box.
