I was a little disappointed The flat base shown in the product description is a very small area at the bottom of the spoon. If you're not careful when putting it on, it will rock back and forth. However, I love the rounded and pointed ends (very well thought out design) and the fact that they are magnetic. I keep them in my utensil drawer and they tip over because the floors aren't quite level. Probably just annoying for someone like me who suffers from OCD. All in all very good spoons. More than I would pay if I could see them in person for the first time and try them out on a flat surface. Time will tell how well they hold up after repeated use.
