Years ago I switched to plastic disc clasps and never went back to the old metal base. Wheels are VERY comfortable! The old style discs I used have a metal center that the stylus goes into and they wear out with use and end up not being stiff enough to hold the stylus securely. I've temporarily fixed some of them by pinching the metal part with pliers, but you have to keep doing this and sometimes the pliers will crush them if you don't apply the perfect amount of pressure. THESE new rims are perfect! They are soft and comfortable and don't stretch. I love them and because they are all silicone they will probably last forever. Another plus is that they are very easy to clean, just soak in hot soapy water and brush with a small toothbrush if needed. I highly recommend them - anyone who wears chain earrings will love them!
