About as easy to apply as most screen protectors, which isn't easy. Since there was only one in the package, I was very careful! I just removed the top part of the backing and smoothed it out. I was then able to slowly lower the screen protector onto the screen and peel off the rest of the film. It was a lot easier because I could make small adjustments as I lowered. I love the protector since I wear it! I used to have a regular glass screen protector and this matte makes a huge difference. It really reduces glare and fingerprints, and my finger moves smoothly across the surface. I take notes on my iPad for school and haven't noticed any issues with the Apple Pencil. It even seems to write better as there is the least amount of friction which is more like paper than protective glass. It's not as bulky as many artist protectors, so you don't have to worry about pencil point wear and tear. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and will definitely be ordering more if anything happens to this one. one!
