My child wanted to be Harry Potter in school disguise. I didn't have much time to wait for higher quality products, otherwise I probably would have gone for the premium velvet option that others have rated higher. BUT . I ended up going for this DELUXE version as I found it in the 'as new' listing which was significantly cheaper and the right size. From all my searches online and in person. 1) The robes offered on Revain are NOT all the same. When it doesn't say "Lux" or "Premium," it's a thin, transparent nylon material. Someone may like this material more. I prefer the deluxe fleece. he is stronger more significant. Feels like a bathrobe. I also prefer that the deluxe version had an embroidered emblem, while the standard (nylon) version had a printed decal that would peel off over time. 2) fleece. Many reviews pointed out that the Fleece was a misery they didn't want to deal with. I see that any pet owner would agree. It clearly attracts pet hair. I can attest to this as my 'like new' robe was covered in someone's nasty pet hair. It attracts the hair significantly and holds it in place. If I didn't need it the next day I would send it back just because it had foreign hair on it. But I don't have to deal with pet hair, I don't expect my baby to curl up in pile or yarn, and it washes well (which I quickly tested to remove hair), so I prefer fleece to nylon quality. Nylon was indeed cheap and too thin. Compared to her, I like fleece a lot more. Again, it looks like a real robe. 3) Both the standard and deluxe robes I've seen have pointed hoods. I didn't like it when I looked at the nylon bathrobe in the store, which is why I kept looking partly. I didn't expect the luxurious fleece bathrobe to have a pointed hood. So I'll note that it has a pointed hood, just like the standard version. When it's on it doesn't matter, not very noticeable, but it's not something I would choose if I knew. This is not in the online descriptions but you cannot tell from the pictures. To be honest, I don't know if the "real" Harry Potter robes had a peaked hood or not. I don't remember the author going into detail about the hood in her books and certainly didn't focus on it in the film, so in all likelihood they could have pointed it out. Either way . This robe makes a great suit even with the peaked hood. 4) Lining. As some say, the lining has a more pink color. And that robe was just "accent". It would be better if the accent was connected to the robe somehow. or if the entire robe was red on the inside. but it works well enough. I wouldn't say the difference between accent and full lining makes or breaks the deal. Of course, if you can find a fully lined one for the same price, it's better. But this one works well enough. 5) I ordered a large for my son who is 45 inches from shoulder to ankle. It fits perfectly.
