Noise insulation is right! They are strong and durable and I can't hear anything other than what I'm hearing until I turn the volume down or take them out. I had the same pair for 5 years and then one day I let my boyfriend use them and he accidentally broke the wire. I've accidentally put them in the washer and dryer a few times, they've gotten wet, stepped on, thrown, tangled, and I really just thumped these headphones and they still worked for me. Highly recommended to buy again and again but I don't need to because they last so long!
