Review on 🌐 MikroTik CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC Cloud Core Router with Enhanced Passive Cooling by Dexter Pullen

I had high hopes for this router but ended up returning it for a refund. Because. The maximum download speed fluctuated around 10 Mbps or less on a 20 Mbps connection even when using 2 WAN links. I've been working with it for 2 weeks, constantly trying to find a working configuration, but to no avail. Mikrotik support was unable to provide a solution ie after several email interactions had to be prevented from trying to blame "everyone else" for this. (When I reconnected my previous less technically powerful but still working router, it was running at full ISP rated speed both ways, proving that the problem was somewhere in the Mikrotik router.) A combination of non-bootability and poor support affected I made the decision to return the router and remove Mikrotik from my company's approved vendor list. I still wish it would work, it looked like a good match for our needs "on paper".
