I have a large collection of vinyl records. They've been gathering dust lately. I had to sell my old stereo with the intention of getting a new one "soon". Two years later I decided on this one. Mainly because I have kids in my house and need something portable that can be easily stored. This is a great system for the money. I love the fact that I do NOT need a computer to convert to mp3. This is the main plus. It comes with editing software, but as long as I can just pop in an SD card and convert, I'm happy. It has an arm lift and latch. Easy to use and set up. The only drawback for me are the speakers. I love volume and the built-in speakers don't perform in that range. Luckily it has an AUX output and after connecting it to my soundbar with the cable that came with it I was a very happy listener. If you are looking for something value for money and not cheap, this is it. Good quality at a great price! And the pre-recorded voice is a plus too!
