I know the title of this review sounds like a rhyme scheme, but that's why I'm ordering it. This product has a 3-position switch to toggle between multiple functions, but I mainly use it in "Wireless Client" mode - to receive WiFi signals from a cellular hotspot and route them to a regular router. Then, despite the "limitation" of a typical access point being shared by 5 or 10 computers, the nearest router will share with other computers from now on. Out of the box, the IP4 address on this unit is set to be compatible with every commercial router I've seen (D-Link, Netgear, Cisco/Linksys, etc.) and seems fairly consistent. I've only had one instance where MyFi's WiFi signal was lost and all it took to fix it was to temporarily connect an Ethernet cable between this device and the computer and re-enter the UI ( well documented in the supplied booklet). Connect to the MyFi network, and then reconnect the cable to the router's WAN port. Range and overheating weren't an issue, and the last one I installed has been running in a commercial office for months now. For the money spent this was the best solution I found for this purpose and I try to keep one or two on hand. The only reason I'm giving this four stars is because I had to log into MyFi again to confirm the signal. That's the only reason the experience wasn't "perfect".
