Single port power injector works great with backup power for my PoE access point

Please note that this product listing contains several different products and Revain combines all reviews. This is just an overview of the 1-Port Gigabit Power Injector. I like Tenda's single port PoE injector. It can support high power PoE applications and is compatible with devices using older standards. Two LEDs are good to show the device power supply (AC plug) and the other LED is the device PoE power supply. You can use the same type of cable to connect to the power supply as my desktop computers. The box contains a thin "installation guide", a support sheet, a standard US power cable and an injector. That's all! This is the first Tenda device I've tried. I had never heard of this brand before but thought it might be worth a try. I didn't need any support, so I can't speak about how Tenda supports their products. The single port power injector is one of those things I usually plug in and then ignore for years when something goes wrong. Rated for 30W PoE power, Tenda's power injector is much more than I need for my TP-Link 10W PoE access point. It's nice to have extra "headroom" to allow the injector to run cooler than the one at max power! I used an old PoE switch, but the only PoE device is my access point. I was surprised (when I measured) how much power this switch drew with only one load, so I replaced it with an efficient non-PoE switch and used this injector to power the access point. When I measured the power on the Tenda, it was only about 11.5W - just 1.5W over the AP's power budget. Excellent! All of my wired network infrastructure runs at gigabit speeds, so having an injector that can support those speeds makes a world of difference to my AC1200 access point. Not all. All readings show that both sides (input and output) are running at gigabit speeds. In summary, I like Tenda's 30W single port PoE injector. It has power reserve with my hotspot. The indicator lights and standard AC plug are well thought out, and the gigabit speeds mean my connection is running at full steam. Everything is good and I give Tenda 5 stars.
