they snap on and fit my e39 perfectly BUT after my own decision I just felt they looked a bit cheap as trying to customize my car Passing off as an M car (It's like sticking a decoration on the hood of a Rolls-Royce on a Kristler.) A true BMW enthusiast will tell the difference - just be proud of the car you own, don't pretend , as if it were something it is NOT. an older M-series car and really feel the need for a modern looking "M" on the grille then this is a good and cheap option.
