I bought some gas cans to fill my boat (because there are no water stations near me). Unfortunately, I bought units without vents, so it took a very long time to empty. Holding heavy 6 gallon gas cans over the side of my boat for a long time was no fun at all. These vent caps were very easy to install after drilling the appropriate hole in the jars and work great to allow for easy venting and therefore much faster pouring. Be careful where you mount them, too low and fuel will slosh all the way to the vent cap, too high and fuel may slosh over it when filling. For myself, I've found that an adjustment about level with the spout but on the opposite side of the handle works best. The 10 pack was more than I needed but for the price you can't go wrong.
