Beautiful, durable frying pans with a durable ceramic surface. We've only had them for a month but so far they've survived multiple cycles of use and washing in the dishwasher. They show no signs of wear. I was thrilled to find pans with lids outside of the full 12 piece kitchen set - why is this such a rarity? When I saw it for a good price, I was thrilled and bought it. I'm still undecided about a permanent (non-closing) steam valve in the lid. I didn't expect that because I didn't notice it in the photos and it wasn't described in the product description. In fact, the product description boasts that the lid "retains flavor and nutrients." I don't know if that's true? But it doesn't "seal" anything if it has a hole in the lid. Ha ha. Not really a problem yet, but sometimes I need a sealable lid, like when cooking rice or anything that says "cover and simmer". Does a lid with an opening that cannot be closed count as a "cover" for the pan? I so wish it had a little sliding opening or the ability to close it. But otherwise they seem to be good pots and lids.
