The photo does not do this dress justice. I need a purple dress for my wedding (not burgundy but lilac purple) and I am training couriers to ship the dresses. I balked at this the whole time for fear the super shiny satin in the picture would scream how cheap it is. When the dress arrived I was pleasantly surprised by its beautiful dark purple color. Granted, the fabric borders on a nightgown, but that's not even noticeable up close. I found the satin gave the dress just enough shimmer to make it feel special, which is what I needed. I also had trouble getting the trim right around the chest line, but I think that's an easy issue to fix. The dress is very comfortable to wear, I am attaching a photo with and without the skirt. In my opinion, the petticoat takes this dress to the next level. I highly recommend one. I wear 26 inches. The size chart fitted me perfectly. I have a 35" bust and a 29" waist and the medium fits me. If you're struggling to find a purple dress for a special occasion, you should definitely add this to your list. It's worth a try.
